Assessment

Our Assessment Procedure

After completing the mediation curriculum and meeting all criteria, candidates must satisfy all assessment components to receive certification and be recommended for accreditation by the Mediation Accreditation Committee (MAC).

Step 1

Role-Play

Candidates will be evaluated on each core skill using a 1-5 value scale where 1 indicates "Not yet demonstrating competence" and 5 indicates "Demonstrating exceptional competence."

Missing any portion of the course results in no certification.

Step 2

Reflective Practice

Candidates will submit two brief self-reflective essays encouraging critical evaluation of their own expectations and performance.
