Role-Play
Candidates will be evaluated on each core skill using a 1-5 value scale:
1: Not yet demonstrating competence
5: Demonstrating exceptional competence
Reflective Practice
Candidates will submit two brief self-reflective essays:
- Before Role-Play: We shall evaluate expectations and preparedness of participants.
- After Role-Play: We shall guide candidates to reflect on their performance and self-assess their actions.
This component encourages candidates to critically evaluate their own expectations and performance, demonstrating their ability to self-reflect.
Written Exam
The written exam will cover the course content from classroom training and measure candidates' awareness of core mediation skills. The exam includes:
- Multiple-Choice Questions
- True/False Statements
- Written Open Book Exam
Course Format and Attendance Policy
We use a variety of teaching formats, including:
- Lectures
- Discussions
- Videos
- Role-Plays
- Simulation Exercises
Due to the large amount of instructional material and limited classroom time, a strict attendance policy is enforced:
- Full Attendance Required: You must attend each class in its entirety.
- No Make-Up Work: There is no provision for make-up work or homework to compensate for missed class time.
- No Early Departures: Early departures are not allowed. The course is intensive (50 hours) and requires full concentration.
In cases where an individual misses any portion of the course or chooses not to participate in a specific portion of the training, the student will not be certified. Times may be adjusted to meet the needs of the group.
